This is my first attempt at a shawl, I'm happy with how it turned out. The yarn is 'Milk Cotton' and according the the label the yarn is 35% milk fiber. Since it's made in China and everything else on the label is in Chinese who knows! The main thing is it feels super soft against the skin and the colour rocks!

These blocks are 30cm squared...they're part of a crochet along group I've joined on Raverly...we get a new pattern every month and at the end of the year we put them together to make a beautiful blanket. I make two squares a month so maybe I will make one blanket half year and one end of year....love how they are working out so far :D

Unfortunately I no longer have a camera to use! I have made sooo many things but can't upload them here yet :( I have made four scarfs for the Mongolia childrens project, this was the first one that I lucky got a photo of before the camera was lost.

Have started a rag rug, cushion covers, made more scarfs for friends and have also started a baby blanket, hopefully will be able to update soon!

The urge to crochet is going into overdrive with the beginning of October (even though it's still stinking hot here in HK) Scarfs are calling to me....

....these autumn colours are my first attempt using mohair yarn...it's tricky but makes an interesting effect...
and here is a shades of aqua ripple scarf I've begun, can't seem to stay away from the ripples!

....but I guess you've got to fiddle around to decide what you like, it's the multi-coloured pink and white-ish yarn that I'm not so fond off

I am totally delighted with this blanket already....it's the first 100% pure wool blanket that I have made so far and am really enjoy the texture of the wool as I work....

Am planning to block every square....as you can see with this blue and purple baby it really does look much better, it's painstaking work though!

My purple and white throw for my little sister is half done, still need to make more strands (you can see some on the left side of the picture) and then need weave them into the blanket. Am very excited....it's going to look cool when it's finished...it's for her 12th birthday.

On the ripple blanket front... it has grown!
It's actually big enough to be a throw now, but I am wondering....

.....should I keep going and make it big enough to be a single bed blanket? It's a gift for a nearest and dearest and am not sure what she'd prefer....your opinions are always valued!!

A big fat cushion cover

Yeah....finished at last! It took a lot longer then I expected. This is a shell pattern and the cushion size is 60cm x 60cm, you can see from the photo it's nearly as big as my sofa cushions!

This is for my lovely darling friend Gin...hope you (and your overweight cat) enjoy it!

Due to popular demand (i.e. my students) I have taught myself how to crochet 3D flowers

It's actually not too hard once you get the hang of it and is very satisfying to complete

Have decided to make cushion covers ....either these 2 designs, front and back on one cushion or....

....two cushions like this with a flatter back cover design....which would be best? Any suggestions??

Today taught Ginny this flower...the pattern was all in Chinese (I don't read Chinese!) so am happy that I manged to figure out how to do it then help her learn!! I love crochet

Here are some of the yarn colours I found and fell in love with during my visit to Oz, brought a few of each, have finally figured out what kind of rug to make with them....a hexagon throw!

Here is one of my first hexagons using my red colours, not sure if it is going to be vibrant enough though, so am still fiddling around with colours trying to figure it out....any suggestions?

Started this in April 2009 during my Easter holidays in Perth, my first time trying the Vandyke pattern. I liked this colour combination and thought they were colours mum would like..

Poor mum, always forget her birthday and send late mother's day gifts and Christmas presents! Hoping this will make up for a few....finished in two months, and very pleased with how it turned out, hope she is too, sending off in the post today (it's getting cold in oz now)

Haven't really figured out how to take a good picture of the finished product yet!
The tassels were really tricky, Thank God for youtube, would of never figured it out from the pattern alone. Wish there was an English speaking crochet club in Hong Kong..

So delighted with how this rug turned out!! Got the yarn off mum and dad as a Christmas present...took me from January to March 2009 to make....

didn't put on fringes, partly because I ran out of time, but in the end decided that the simple edging suited it better anyway. Made for Norma as a thank you present for having me and showing me around Perth during my Easter holidays. My favourite creation to date!
